A request

Normally I dont ask or beg for material that I can either get easily off the net or buy, but in this case I am left to asking my fellow members if anyone has any pieces from  Rynten Okazaki's  book ,The Bayside Resort . Its seems the only distributor of his work  POOH YOKOCHO,INC  in japan no longer has any stock nor the publishing house  and there is no intention of any further publications of this book.

So my fellow members I am left to asking, does anyone have this book, or even pieces from it, in particular the piece  Mai, I would be eternally grateful

If not then  does anyone  know of any other stores  that stock this book . If so could you please let me know

The seller isn't listing an email address, but it seems to be connected to this forum, hopefully someone will be able to help... If not, maybe I could order the book for you and forward it to.. Tasmania was it?

If nothing comes of this I might pm you and arrange for someway of buying this book through you, So I do appreciate your offer
In the meantime could you find out the cost, for both the book and shipping costs to Tasmania...State of Australia, as the language barrier is leading me blind

Yes taobao is China's eBay, but as with eBay many of the sellers are run by shop owners. Just about every decent music shop in China has a taobao shop running in tandem with their real world business.

The book is around AU$13.40, they list shipping (registered post within China) as about AU$3.30. However, registration and a China based credit card is essential to make a purchase, I don't think purchasing it from outside China and having it shipped to Tasmania is going to be an option, unless you can make direct contact with the shop owner here on the forum. If I bought it and had it (physically

)shipped it to you I think it's going to be around AU$30 total. Electronically it could be achieved for AU$17.

Just scan it > convert to pdf > and send it (over skype is probably easiest and fastest). Of course it's a bit illegal.. but I'd be happy to lock the original copy up in a box and hang onto it until such times as you're passing through Qingdao!

Sorry for the delayed reply wiity, had and still having some serious pc problems but maybe you could 'pm' me the best way transfer funds to you and in the meantime I'll consider whether I buy it outright and have it shipped to me or just get you to do a quality scan and maybe allow you to keep the hard copy for your trouble thats if its still available

Hey Tarkine... sorry for not getting back to you.. life got in the way.

It seems the book is still available on the taobao site. I found out that if you are outside of China you can use a taobao agent to make your purchase through.

See this taobao field guide http://taobaofieldguide.com/taob ... /obook-taobao-agent obook looks like the way to go. Send them an email with that link to the book on taobao, they should be able to sort it for you.
